Description Nanchangmycin is a polyether antibiotic with similar structure to dianemycin and is very active against a broad spectrum of harmful nematodes and insects but not for mammals and plants.

Method

5000 cells were plated in 25ul media per well in 384-well plates. The next day, 50 nl of drugs were transfered to each well for a final concentration of 0.7uM/0.2% DMSO in U2OS. The drug treated U2OS cells were infected with Zika MR766, MOI=0.125 and fixed at 48 hours post infection (hpi).

In Vivo
In vivo Nanchangmycin can be used as a growth promotant in poultry and to cure coccidiosis in chickens[1]. Nanchangmycin is a bacterially-derived natural product that potently blocked ZIKV infection across diverse cell types. It blocks ZIKV entry, as well as DENV infection[2].
