In Vivo
In vivo	Oral cellobiose administration improved both clinical and pathological signs of colitis with a decrease in mucosal proinflammatory cytokines mRNA expression^[1]. Dietary cellobiose was extensively digested in the small intestine by beta-galactosidase in rats^[2].
