Biological Activity

Description Thymidine is a pyrimidine nucleoside that is composed of the pyrimidine base thymine attached to the sugar deoxyribose. As a constituent of DNA, thymidine pairs with adenine in the DNA double helix.

Thymidine (NSC 21548), a pyrimidine nucleoside that is composed of the pyrimidine base thymine attached to the sugar deoxyribose, pairs with adenine when DNA synthesis.[1]

    72 hours after shRNA lentiviruses infection, MDA-MB-231 cells are treated with 4 mM Thymidine for 18 hours. Release and harvest cells at the time points of 0, 6 and 18 hours, and then determine the cell cycle distribution by FACS analysis.
