Biological Activity

Description SRS11-92 (AA9), a Ferrostatin-1 (Fer-1) analogue, is a potent inhibitor of ferroptosis. SRS11-92 inhibits ferroptotic cell death induced by Erastin in HT-1080 human fibrosarcoma cells with EC50 of 6 nM.
Targets
HT-1080 ferroptotic cell death [1]
(Cell-based assay)
6 nM(EC50)
In vitro

SRS11-92 is efficacious in protecting human and mouse cellular models of FRDA treated with ferric ammonium citrate (FAC) and an inhibitor of glutathione synthesis (BSO). SRS11-92 decreases the cell death associated with frataxin knockdown in healthy human fibroblasts.[2]
