Biological Activity

Description AMTB hydrochloride is a blocker of the transient receptor potential melastatin 8 (TRPM8) ion channel. It reduces the activation of TRPM8 channels induced by icilin, as assessed through a Ca2+ influx assay, with a pIC50 of 6.23. It is used as a tool to evaluate the role of this channel in bladder rhythmic contraction.
