5% DMSO 95% Corn oil
0.2mg/ml Taking the 1 mL working solution as an example, add 50 μL of 4 mg/ml clear DMSO stock solution to 950 μL of corn oil and mix evenly. The mixed solution should be used immediately for optimal results.
Clear solution
5%DMSO 40%PEG300 5%Tween80 50%ddH2O
0.2mg/ml Taking the 1 mL working solution as an example, add 50 μL of 4 mg/ml clarified DMSO stock solution to 400 μL of PEG300, mix evenly to clarify it; add 50 μL of Tween80 to the above system, mix evenly to clarify; then continue to add 500 μL of ddH2O to adjust the volume to 1 mL. The mixed solution should be used immediately for optimal results.
* <1 mg/ml means slightly soluble or insoluble.
* Please note that Selleck tests the solubility of all compounds in-house, and the actual solubility may differ slightly from published values. This is normal and is due to slight batch-to-batch variations.
* Room temperature shipping (Stability testing shows this product can be shipped without any cooling measures.)

Biological Activity

Description Chrysophanic Acid (Chrysophanol) a natural anthraquinone isolated from Dianella longifolia, is a EGFR/mTOR pathway inhibitor.
Targets
EGFR [1] mTOR [1]
In vitro Chrysophanic acid (Chrysophanol) is a EGFR/mTOR pathway inhibitor. Chrysophanic acid (Chrysophanol) is a natural anthraquinone, has anticancer activity in EGFR-overexpressing SNU-C5 human colon cancer cells. Chrysophanic acid (Chrysophanol) preferentially blocks proliferation in SNU-C5 cells but not in other cell lines (HT7, HT29, KM12C, SW480, HCT116 and SNU-C4) with low levels of EGFR expression. Chrysophanic acid (Chrysophanol) treatment in SNU-C5 cells inhibits EGF-induced phosphorylation of EGFR and suppresses activation of downstream signaling molecules, such as AKT, extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) and the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR)/ribosomal protein S6 kinase (p70S6K). [1] Chrysophanic acid also inhibits the replication of poliovirus types 2 and 3 (Picornaviridae) and poliovirus-induced cytopathic effects in BGM (Buffalo green monkey) kidney cells. [2]
